Lashify changed my life after I developed an allergic reaction to eyelash glue

After suddenly developing an allergic reaction to eyelash glue, I was devastated. I tried getting lash lifts instead, but also had an allergic reaction. I thought I was out of luck until I discovered lashify.

I used to have the most beautiful, professionally applied eyelash extensions. I had developed a friendship with my lash artist because I saw her every two weeks for years. Then one day after my lash application, my eyes felt itchy and my retinas were a bit red. I completely ignored this and went back two weeks later as usual for a re-application. This time, my eyes completely swelled up and I developed a red, flaky crust on my eyelids. It was gross. I had my extensions removed and it took months before my eyes were back to normal.

You’d think I’d have learned my lesson, but two years later, I decided to try again with a different (and very expensive) lash artist that claimed to only use glue for sensitive eyes. I thought that maybe since the allergy had suddenly developed, it might also suddenly disappear (not logical, but I was desperate). We even did a small patch test first. But after I had a full set applied, within days, my eyes were red, itchy, and swollen. So I had to pay to have them removed just days after having paid to have them applied.

I waited maybe a year until someone told me about lash lifts (perms for your own eyelashes that can make them appear longer and curled). No reaction! I was thrilled and continued to get lifts for about a year until - you guessed it - I developed an allergic reaction that took months to heal.

After that, I thought I was completely out of luck. But then I saw an ad for lashify. And another one. And another one. I was certain I would have the same effect so I was hesitant to make the $100+ investment in the control kit to get started. But I kept seeing ads and my curiosity was just too piqued, so I decided to give it a try. I started slowly, applying my lashes for one day at at time, being very careful not to let the glue touch my skin and to remove them before going to bed. After a few months doing this without any issue, I started wearing them more often and for a few days at a time. Now, I wear my lashes 100% of the time, replacing them about once a week and have never had any sort of allergic reaction.

The Lashify Product: Professional Quality Lashes at Home

I won’t spend too much time discussing how great the product is, because there are a million posts about this already. It is not cheap, but still works out to less than professional extensions and is more convenient since you can do it yourself at home. Even if it takes you a while to put them on (I am definitely on the slow side), it still saves me time compared to going out to get them done and they look just as good. There are a lot of different lash variations and I normally wear the Core Curl lashes which everyone thinks are my natural lashes with some mascara. For special occasions, I’ll wear the Bold lashes, and people assume I had them professionally done. There is definitely a bit of a cult following for the founder (Sahara Lotti) and these lashes, but once you try them, you’ll understand why. She is constantly innovating and creating new lashes and bonds. I’m always afraid to try a new bond given my past relationship with eyelash glue, but she only uses the best non-toxic ingredients with no cyanoacrylate.
