Everytable’s delicious and affordable meals also have a social mission

Meal service can save a lot of time, but a good one is hard to find. Everytable is a stand out on all fronts in the meal delivery space - food, quality, price, customer service and social impact.

Meals

I first started eating everytable meals when I was living in Southern California. Meals are healthy, clean, and the nutrition facts are clearly labeled on the products and on the website when selecting meals. I’ve tried many of the meal delivery services and have often been disappointed that what arrives at my door looks very different than what is in the pictures (I’m looking at you, territory). The everytable meals are consistently of high quality and very tasty. They aren’t marketed as a diet plan, but it’s easy to choose low calorie meals from their offerings, all of which are quite satisfying. They also have various filters you can set for your search (low sodium, low carb, high protein low carb, etc).

My personal favorite meals are the:

  • Ginger Orange Tofu Buddha Bowl

  • Scallion Beef with Jasmine Rice

  • Trap Kitchen Curry Chicken

  • Homegirl Salmon Bowl

  • Salmon Superfood Salad

  • Lemon Pepper Chicken Caesar Salad

There isn’t a meal I’ve had that I haven’t liked but I tend to always re-pick my personal favorites and haven’t tried a lot of the others. I’m sure they are just as good. I also haven’t mentioned how reasonable the pricing is (between $8 and $10 in the more expensive neighborhoods in LA).

Social Impact

Per everytable’s website: “Our mission is to transform the food system to make fresh, nutritious food accessible to everyone, everywhere.”

From everytable's first social impact report in 2023.

I had been eating everytable for maybe a year before I learned about their social mission. They don’t advertise this much (at all) which makes it that much more impressive. Everytable a social equity franchise program with a mission of creating a pathway to business ownership in underpriveleged communities. It started with training and development at everytable university with an expedited pathway to owning and operating a location through employment. From the program description: “Investing in entrepreneurs and creating generational wealth for marginalized communities is how we achieve food justice.” Many everytables locations are in said marginalized communities and pricing is set consistently to what residents of a specific neighborhood can afford. I use to do extensive volunteer work in Watts, CA and there was an everytable there.

Availability

They have storefronts where you can pop in and heat up a meal to eat there, grab one to go, or pick up your subscription meals.

Subscription delivery is also offered via ubereats, and free with a minimum order amount. But unfortunately, everytable is currently available only in California. This was heartbreaking for me as they had opened several NYC locations that closed down last year. I am hoping that they will be able to expand again one day, but for now, I enjoy everytable on all of my visits to California.
